What You’ll Do

  • Provide thorough housekeeping and cleaning services throughout the hospital, ensuring all areas are tidy and hygienic.
  • Remove garbage and dispose of waste responsibly to maintain a clean environment.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, bathrooms, and other essential areas within the facility.
  • Wash, dust, polish, vacuum, and sweep as appropriate to uphold cleanliness standards.
  • Ensure kitchen utensils and equipment are cleaned and maintained properly.
  • Monitor and control stock levels of cleaning materials and meal utensils.
  • Keep cleaning equipment in safe, clean, and efficient working condition, reporting any necessary repairs.
  • Assist in the preparation of the boardroom, including setting up chairs and providing necessary utensils.
  • Implement basic security measures by locking doors and closing windows as needed.
  • Assess hygiene situations and promptly address any issues related to infection control and safety regulations.

What You’ll Need

  • NQF level 1 or 2 (ABET level 2 certificate or equivalent).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Physical strength and stamina to meet the demands of the job.
  • Honesty, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to rotate duties when required.
