What You’ll Do
- Perform housekeeping and cleaning duties, ensuring all areas are tidy and hygienic.
- Remove garbage and ensure proper disposal methods are followed.
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, bathrooms, and other communal spaces.
- Wash, dust, polish, vacuum, and sweep as required.
- Clean kitchen utensils and equipment, ensuring they meet hygiene standards.
- Monitor stock levels of cleaning materials and report shortages.
- Safeguard and maintain cleaning equipment, ensuring it is in good condition.
- Implement simple security measures, such as locking doors and closing windows.
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards in the building.
- Adhere to Infection Control and Hygiene regulations.
What You’ll Need
- NQF Level 1 or 2 (ABET Level 2 Certificate or equivalent) is required.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Physical strength to handle the demands of the position.
- A reliable and honest work ethic, with the ability to work well in a team.
- Willingness to rotate duties as required.
