What You’ll Do
- Provide thorough housekeeping and cleaning services within the hospital, ensuring all areas are tidy and hygienic.
- Manage waste disposal effectively and maintain cleanliness in restrooms and bathrooms.
- Perform a variety of cleaning tasks, including washing, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, and sweeping as needed.
- Clean kitchen utensils and equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies and maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition.
- Safeguard cleaning materials and implement simple security measures within the hospital premises.
- Identify and report any maintenance issues or hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Adhere to infection control and hygiene regulations while assessing and addressing cleanliness needs.
What You’ll Need
- NQF Level 1 or 2 (ABET Level 2 certificate or equivalent) with no prior experience required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Reliability, honesty, and the physical strength to meet the demands of the role.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to various tasks as needed.
