What You’ll Do
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in all allocated areas of the hospital.
- Remove garbage and ensure proper disposal.
- Clean and maintain restrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen areas.
- Wash, dust, polish, vacuum, and sweep as required.
- Control stock levels of cleaning materials and report shortages.
- Safeguard and maintain cleaning equipment, ensuring they are in working condition.
- Implement basic security measures and monitor for hazards.
- Conduct simple maintenance repairs when necessary.
- Adhere to Infection Control and Hygiene regulations.
What You’ll Need
- NQF Level 1 or 2 (ABET Level 2 Certificate or equivalent).
- Good communication skills and ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Physical strength to manage the demands of the position.
- Reliability and honesty as core personal attributes.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
