What You’ll Do

  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in designated areas of the hospital.
  • Remove garbage and ensure proper disposal.
  • Clean restrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
  • Wash, dust, polish, vacuum, and sweep as needed.
  • Clean kitchen utensils and equipment, maintaining hygiene in food preparation areas.
  • Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies and report shortages.
  • Safeguard cleaning equipment and report any repair needs.
  • Arrange boardroom settings, including chairs and refreshments.
  • Implement security measures and monitor for hazards.
  • Carry out simple maintenance tasks promptly.

What You’ll Need

  • NQF Level 1 or 2 (ABET Level 2 Certificate or equivalent).
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Reliability and honesty in performing duties.
  • Physical strength to handle the demands of the role.
  • A proactive attitude towards maintaining a clean and safe environment.
