About the Role

The Witbank Hospital is seeking a dedicated Head: Clinical Unit (Medical) Grade 1 in the ENT department. This pivotal role is based in Witbank, located in the Nkangala District of Mpumalanga. As the Head of the ENT Department, you will play an essential part in delivering specialized ENT services to the community, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care. What You’ll Do

• Lead the ENT department, ensuring effective and cost-efficient service delivery.
• Oversee clinical governance and quality management in line with hospital standards.
• Manage human, financial, and capital resources effectively.
• Facilitate training and development for medical staff, including Registrars and Interns.
• Address medical and legal incidents with professionalism and care.
• Implement strategies to improve clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
• Contribute to the hospital’s executive management team, providing strategic insights and decisions.

What You’ll Need

• A qualification allowing for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Specialist in ENT.
• At least five years of experience as a Medical Specialist in ENT post-registration.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of healthcare policies, including Healthcare 2030 and the Ideal Hospital framework.
• Experience in managing clinical risks and improving quality in healthcare settings.
• Proven ability to supervise and train medical staff, fostering a diverse and equitable workplace.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
