What You’ll Do
- Cultivate and maintain garden areas, ensuring they are healthy and vibrant
- Prepare soil for planting new plants and flowers
- Fertilize, irrigate, weed, and prune flower beds to promote growth
- Mow lawns and maintain neat edges for a tidy appearance
- Load and unload equipment and materials necessary for gardening tasks
- Remove waste and debris from the grounds, ensuring cleanliness
- Operate basic machinery and tools safely and effectively
- Adhere to occupational health and safety protocols at all times
What You’ll Need
- Competency in the core functions of the position
- Proficiency in English and at least one other official language
- South African citizenship with documentary proof required at the interview
- ABET Level 4/Grade 9/Standard 7/NQF Level 1 qualification
- Basic literacy, numeracy, and communication skills
- Understanding of cleaning agents and their safe handling
- Ability to interact professionally with colleagues and officials
- Willingness to work extended hours when necessary
