What You’ll Do

  • Manage the preparation and serving of food and refreshments.
  • Conduct regular stock taking and maintain efficient inventory control.
  • Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are upheld in all service units.
  • Compile performance reviews and reports for staff members.
  • Plan and coordinate meetings, venues, and food service schedules.
  • Develop and implement policies for the food service section.
  • Supervise staff and provide leadership within the unit.

What You’ll Need

  • A Senior Certificate/Grade 12 plus six years of experience in food services.
  • A minimum of three years of supervisory experience or a relevant Diploma/Degree (NQF Level 6/7) in Food & Beverage Management, Food Technology, Hospitality Management, or Food Science.
  • Experience in a hospital food services environment is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Knowledge of stock and key control processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both as a team member and independently under pressure.
  • Leadership skills and proficiency in computer applications.
  • A valid driver’s license is an added advantage.
