What You’ll Do

• Prepare and cook ingredients for meals following established menus and special diet plans
• Serve meals in appropriate crockery while ensuring portion sizes meet dietary guidelines
• Pack and deliver food trolleys to various areas within the hospital
• Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen and food processing environment
• Collect and wash used cutlery and crockery, ensuring all equipment is sanitized
• Perform regular safety checks to uphold sanitation standards
• Report any unhygienic or unsafe conditions to your supervisor

What You’ll Need

• NQF Level 1 or 2 (ABET Level 2 certificate or equivalent)
• Basic knowledge of food services and food preparation techniques
• Understanding of health and safety measures in a food environment
• Ability to operate food processing equipment safely
• Basic literacy skills and the ability to measure ingredients accurately
