What You’ll Do
- Organise, supervise, and assist with crop production activities such as soil cultivation, sowing, and harvesting.
- Manage irrigation systems and ensure effective weed control, both manual and mechanical.
- Oversee the maintenance of farm infrastructure, including fences, roads, buildings, and greenhouses.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of facilities, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Perform administrative tasks, including recording and filing farm records, inventory management, and HR documentation.
- Facilitate team building and provide leadership to ensure efficient farm operations.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in managing agronomics and horticultural crop trials.
- Knowledge of farming practices, safety standards, and farm equipment management.
- Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- A valid driver’s license is essential for this role.
