What You’ll Do

• Conduct proactive compliance monitoring triggered by environmental authorizations, permits, and management plans.
• Perform sector compliance inspections, addressing specific issues within the designated areas.
• Engage in reactive compliance monitoring and enforcement operations, particularly in biodiversity conservation.
• Participate in workshops and campaigns to promote compliance and raise awareness.
• Carry out administrative tasks related to compliance monitoring and reporting.

What You’ll Need

• An appropriate degree in Environmental Management, Natural Sciences, Environmental Law, or a relevant qualification.
• A minimum of one to two years of experience in Environmental Management.
• Trained as an Environmental Management Inspector is advantageous.
• A valid driver’s license (code B) is essential.
• Knowledge of environmental legislation, including the National Environmental Management Act (NEMA) and associated regulations.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with analytical and project management abilities.
• Attributes such as integrity, discipline, and teamwork.
