What You’ll Do

  • Provide technological advisory services to Engineers and Technicians in various settings.
  • Promote and uphold safety standards in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate existing technical manuals and procedures to incorporate cutting-edge technology.
  • Address broadly defined technological challenges using established engineering techniques.
  • Develop and manage current technologies to ensure optimal performance.
  • Compile and submit detailed monthly and quarterly reports on project progress.
  • Contribute to operational planning and database maintenance.
  • Conduct research on new technologies and engineering practices to enhance departmental expertise.
  • Liaise with relevant boards and councils on engineering-related matters.

What You’ll Need

  • A Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering (B Tech) or a relevant qualification.
  • A minimum of three years of post-qualification experience as an Engineering Technologist (Electrical).
  • Compulsory registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineering Technologist.
  • A valid code B driving license.
  • Strong knowledge of project management, technical design, and analysis.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided engineering applications and technical report writing.
  • Excellent decision-making and team leadership skills.
  • Creativity and adaptability to manage change effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good planning, organizing, and people management abilities.
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills.
