What You’ll Do

  • Administer the Employee Health and Wellness Programme, ensuring effective implementation and evaluation of health initiatives.
  • Provide education and awareness on health and wellness-related issues, facilitating workshops and health events.
  • Offer advice and guidance to management and staff on health and wellness matters.
  • Monitor and evaluate employee health trends, including the management of sick leave and incapacity leaves.
  • Conduct counselling and trauma debriefing sessions for employees as needed.
  • Compile and write reports on health and wellness activities, maintaining accurate records.
  • Facilitate the implementation of recommendations made by service providers for continuous improvement.
  • Manage the wellness centre, providing First Aid and support for injury on duty cases.

What You’ll Need

  • An appropriate Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Psychology or Social Work, with a focus on psychology.
  • A minimum of one to two years of experience in the Employee Health and Wellness environment.
  • Knowledge of the Employee Health and Wellness Integrated Strategic Framework in the Public Service.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
