What You’ll Do

• Provide technical inputs to establish functional norms and standards for educational facilities.
• Monitor infrastructure projects implemented by agents to ensure compliance with engineering standards.
• Prepare comprehensive reports evaluating the advisability and impact of project proposals.
• Compile engineering specifications and briefing documents for various projects.
• Conduct inspections and investigations of electrical engineering installations.
• Offer professional electrical engineering advice through reports, calculations, and design drawings.
• Assess infrastructure projects and provide engineering inputs for maintenance initiatives.
• Stay updated with new technologies and best practices in electrical engineering.

What You’ll Need

• A Degree (NQF 7) in Electrical Engineering.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer/Technologist with ECSA.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the electrical engineering field.
• A valid driver’s license (except for individuals with disabilities).
• Strong competencies in project management, financial management, and communication.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, such as the PFMA and National Building Standards Act.
