What You’ll Do
- Provide technical inputs to establish functional norms and standards for educational facilities.
- Monitor infrastructure projects implemented by agents to ensure compliance with engineering standards.
- Prepare comprehensive reports evaluating the advisability and impact of project proposals.
- Compile engineering specifications and briefing documents for various projects.
- Conduct inspections and investigations of electrical engineering installations.
- Offer professional electrical engineering advice through reports, calculations, and design drawings.
- Assess infrastructure projects and provide engineering inputs for maintenance initiatives.
- Stay updated with new technologies and best practices in electrical engineering.
What You’ll Need
- A Degree (NQF 7) in Electrical Engineering.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer/Technologist with ECSA.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the electrical engineering field.
- A valid driver’s license (except for individuals with disabilities).
- Strong competencies in project management, financial management, and communication.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, such as the PFMA and National Building Standards Act.
