What You’ll Do

  • Develop, interpret, and customize functional and technical norms and standards from an engineering perspective.
  • Investigate proposals for innovative service delivery mechanisms and conduct feasibility studies.
  • Compile briefing documents and specifications related to electrical engineering.
  • Oversee the implementation and commissioning of electrical engineering installations.
  • Conduct research and literature studies to stay abreast of new technologies relevant to the field.
  • Interact with relevant professional development boards and councils to ensure compliance and best practices.

What You’ll Need

  • A Senior Certificate / Grade 12 along with a recognized NQF Level 7 qualification in Engineering.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience post-qualification in a relevant engineering role.
  • Current registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Professional Engineer in Electrical Engineering.
  • A valid driver’s license and proven computer literacy.
  • Familiarity with PFMA, Treasury Regulations, National Building Standards Act, and other relevant legislation.
