What You’ll Do

• Facilitate and deliver applied agriculture and agricultural technology programs to offenders.
• Implement departmental education policies and curriculum requirements within correctional facilities.
• Present learning programs in accordance with approved educational standards.
• Provide learners with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in agriculture.
• Assess student progress using appropriate evaluation methods and maintain accurate academic records.
• Create a conducive learning environment that supports effective teaching and personal development among offenders.
• Ensure compliance with established education and training service standards.

What You’ll Need

• A recognised four-year degree or equivalent qualification in Education, specialising in Applied Agriculture & Agricultural Technology and IsiXhosa.
• Registration with the South African Council of Educators.
• Proficiency in computer literacy.
• A valid driver’s licence.
• Strong competencies in planning, organising, and leading educational initiatives.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Knowledge of public service management frameworks and effective conflict management skills.
