What You’ll Do
- Facilitate and deliver applied agriculture and agricultural technology programs to offenders.
- Implement departmental education policies and curriculum requirements within correctional facilities.
- Present learning programs in accordance with approved educational standards.
- Provide learners with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in agriculture.
- Assess student progress using appropriate evaluation methods and maintain accurate academic records.
- Create a conducive learning environment that supports effective teaching and personal development among offenders.
- Ensure compliance with established education and training service standards.
What You’ll Need
- A recognised four-year degree or equivalent qualification in Education, specialising in Applied Agriculture & Agricultural Technology and IsiXhosa.
- Registration with the South African Council of Educators.
- Proficiency in computer literacy.
- A valid driver’s licence.
- Strong competencies in planning, organising, and leading educational initiatives.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Knowledge of public service management frameworks and effective conflict management skills.
