What You’ll Do

• Facilitate engaging educational programmes in History and Life Orientation for offenders.
• Implement and adhere to departmental education policies and curriculum standards.
• Promote critical thinking and historical inquiry in lesson delivery.
• Assess offenders’ academic progress and maintain accurate records of their performance.
• Create a supportive and effective learning environment that fosters personal development.
• Manage educational resources, including finances and assets, to ensure optimal service delivery.
• Contribute to the overall rehabilitation process through innovative teaching methods and practices.

What You’ll Need

• A recognized four (4) year degree or equivalent qualification in Education, specializing in History and Life Orientation.
• Registration with the South African Council of Educators.
• Competency in computer literacy and possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Strong planning, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication abilities and a commitment to client orientation.
• Experience in policy implementation, report writing, and project management.
• Understanding of public service management frameworks and conflict management skills.
