About the Opportunity

The Eastcape Midlands TVET College, in collaboration with INSETA, offers a comprehensive Business Skills Learnership Programme designed to equip young South Africans with essential skills for the short-term insurance industry. This fully funded programme is hosted at the Brickfields Road Campus and aims to bridge the gap between education and employment by providing practical business skills alongside structured classroom learning.

Key Responsibilities

Participants will engage in both theoretical and practical training, focusing on insurance principles, business communication, professional workplace practices, and administrative functions. The programme culminates in a nationally recognised qualification: Certificate in Short Term Insurance NQF Level 4.

Requirements/Qualifications

– South African citizens aged 18 to 35 years
– Recent Grade 12 or NCV Level 4 graduates
– Mathematics with a minimum of 40% or Mathematical Literacy with a minimum of 60%
– All languages with a minimum of 45%
– Applicants must not have previously received SETA funding
– Basic computer literacy and a customer service mindset are advantageous
