What You’ll Do

  • Process financial claims in line with applicable regulations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain and reconcile ledger accounts, ensuring all financial transactions are correctly recorded.
  • Accurately capture financial transactions into relevant operating systems to support bookkeeping activities.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in suspense and ledger accounts in a timely manner.
  • Provide general financial support and assistance to ensure smooth operations within the department.

What You’ll Need

  • A Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent, with Mathematics and/or Accounting as passed subjects.
  • A valid driving license (Code B or higher).
  • Proficiency in computer literacy, including MS Office and financial operating systems.
  • A solid understanding of financial functions, public service financial legislation, and the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
  • Strong planning, organizing, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
