What You’ll Do
- Perform general messenger duties, including sorting and delivering mail, files, documents, and parcels.
- Drive light and medium motor vehicles to transport passengers and documents safely.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on the allocated vehicle to ensure it remains in good working condition.
- Support registry functions by sorting and arranging correspondences.
- Collect submissions and other documents from assigned offices as needed.
- Ensure that all items collected are sealed, addressed, and delivered correctly, obtaining signatures upon delivery.
- Assist with general office tasks, including copying, faxing, and shredding documents.
- Provide auxiliary administrative support and help maintain the security profile of the office.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 10 qualification or an equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA.
- A valid driver’s license and a Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
- Knowledge of proper motor vehicle operation and maintenance procedures.
- Understanding of messenger functions and basic office support tasks, including registry services.
- Familiarity with the city district in which you will be working.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
