What You’ll Do
- Provide strategic leadership and direction in the district to enhance social service delivery.
- Develop and implement business plans aligned with departmental objectives.
- Establish and promote partnerships for effective primary social service delivery.
- Oversee Integrated Community Development Services and ensure their effective management.
- Implement and monitor Developmental Social Welfare Services within the district.
- Strengthen the capacity of non-governmental organizations to deliver programs effectively.
- Manage resources and services in accordance with relevant legislation and directives.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure integrated service provision across the district.
What You’ll Need
- An appropriate qualification at NQF level 7 as recognized by SAQA.
- A minimum of five years of proven experience at a middle or senior managerial level.
- Proof of completion of the SMS pre-entry program before appointment.
- Valid motor vehicle driver’s license (exemptions apply for persons with disabilities).
- Strong competencies in strategic leadership, program management, financial management, and communication.
- Knowledge of the legislative frameworks governing the public service and social development.
- Proven skills in report writing, facilitation, negotiation, and interpersonal communication.
