What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement a recapitalization and modernization project for Indlela, ensuring it aligns with national standards.
- Create and maintain policies and procedures that facilitate accreditation by the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards for quality, occupational health and safety, and environmental control.
- Oversee continuous professional development of staff to enhance training and assessment quality.
- Collaborate with public TVET colleges to support the national TVET system.
- Manage senior-level collaboration with centralized services at DHET in Pretoria to ensure streamlined operations.
What You’ll Need
- A relevant Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced National Diploma (NQF level 7) in Management or an Engineering-related field.
- Artisan trade qualification and experience as an artisan assessor, trainer, or moderator is advantageous.
- A minimum of five to ten years’ experience in the skills development sector, with at least five years in middle or senior management roles.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation including the Skills Development Act and Public Finance Management Act.
- Excellent computer skills, with the ability to develop basic online applications.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
- Successful completion of the Nyukela Public Service SMS Pre-entry Program as endorsed by NSG.
