The Department of Social Development is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional for the position of Director: Non-Institutionalised HIV/AIDS and Social Relief, based at the Head Office. What You’ll Do
- Ensure alignment of programs with national priorities and policies.
- Monitor and implement strategic plans to enhance service delivery.
- Set performance standards and benchmarks for program achievements.
- Develop operational plans and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Promote ethical practices and professionalism in social work.
- Report on strategic frameworks within your area of responsibility.
- Foster integrated service delivery in line with departmental objectives.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor of Social Work at NQF level 7, recognized by SAQA.
- Current registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
- Minimum of five years of proven experience at a Middle/Senior Managerial level.
- Proof of completion of the SMS pre-entry programme required before appointment.
- Valid motor vehicle driver’s license (excluding persons with disabilities).
- Core competencies in strategic capability, program management, and financial management.
- Strong communication skills and experience in social welfare services programs.
- Knowledge of social work service delivery models and relevant prescripts.
