What You’ll Do
- Manage the drafting of Public Administration legislation, ensuring compliance with relevant laws.
- Review existing legislation administered by the Minister for the Public Service and Administration.
- Provide legal advice on public administration legislative matters to support informed decision-making.
- Oversee the operations, systems, and processes within the directorate to enhance efficiency.
- Attend departmental management structures and other meetings as required.
- Participate actively in inter-departmental and intra-departmental committees, tasks, and project teams as nominated.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum qualification of NQF Level 7 in Law, with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Bachelor of Procurationis (B. Proc).
- At least 5 years of experience in a middle or senior managerial role.
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience in legislative drafting.
- Admittance as an Attorney or Advocate.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa and relevant public administration legislation.
- Strong managerial skills including decision-making, problem-solving, and stakeholder management.
