What You’ll Do
- Oversee the provision of enterprise risk management services and conduct strategic and operational risk assessments.
- Develop, review, and implement the risk management strategy and organisational risk management policy.
- Coordinate monthly progress reporting against the risk register and monitor the organisational risk management plan.
- Ensure the training of risk officials and risk committee members to promote a culture of risk awareness.
- Prepare and present monthly and quarterly reports for the risk management committee.
- Manage the development and implementation of business continuity plans and related governance structures.
- Identify risks and threats to the ethical environment, and promote awareness of integrity within the department.
- Investigate allegations of fraud and corruption and develop educational programmes on legislation and best practices.
- Develop and implement fraud prevention and anti-corruption strategies and conduct fraud risk assessments.
- Manage resources effectively and ensure budget compliance aligned with strategic objectives.
What You’ll Need
- A Matric certificate alongside an undergraduate qualification (NQF level 7) in Risk Management or a related field recognized by SAQA.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience at middle or senior management level within risk management environments.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills, with a focus on teamwork and service delivery.
- In-depth knowledge of departmental policies, risk management frameworks, and relevant legislation.
- Competence in project management, problem-solving, and conflict management.
