What You’ll Do
- Manage and monitor the implementation of the Skills Development Act and related programs.
- Ensure compliance of training programs with relevant legislation.
- Coordinate and develop the departmental workplace skills plan.
- Facilitate the training and development of employees across the department.
- Develop training and development policies and programs.
- Conduct skills audits to assess training needs.
- Oversee the administration of bursaries and recruit prospective bursary holders.
- Process bursary payments and manage associated resources.
- Implement and review performance management systems, including PMDS and EPMS.
- Develop a strategic performance management process to enhance departmental efficiency.
What You’ll Need
- A qualification at NQF Level 7, as recognized by SAQA, in Human Resource Development, Human Resource Management, Management of Training, or Industrial Psychology.
- A minimum of 5 years of working experience at a middle or senior managerial level within the Human Resource Development environment.
- Strong understanding of the Skills Development Act and related legislation.
- Proven ability to develop and implement training and development policies.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with a focus on performance management.
