What You’ll Do

• Manage and coordinate energy access programs and projects.
• Oversee the regulation of South Africa’s nuclear energy sector.
• Ensure compliance with international energy obligations.
• Formulate and implement integrated energy policies to promote investment.
• Provide strategic leadership and management support to the department.
• Oversee international liaison in the energy sector.
• Manage performance and development of the department’s employees.

What You’ll Need

• An Honours Degree/Postgraduate qualification in Public Management, Administration, Economics, or relevant Energy Engineering at NQF Level 8.
• A pre-entry certificate for Senior Management Service (Nyukela).
• A valid driver’s license.
• A relevant master’s degree is advantageous.
• At least 10 years of experience in senior management within the public service.
• In-depth knowledge of the energy industry, related legislation, and public finance management.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
