What You’ll Do

  • Manage and oversee departmental capacity development initiatives.
  • Identify and diagnose current capacity levels and define improvement needs.
  • Plan organizational development capacity improvements and ensure the availability of resources.
  • Design, implement, and measure the impact of capacity improvement solutions.
  • Influence organizational design methodologies to promote agility within the WCG.
  • Drive the strategic planning process for the Directorate and evaluate its performance against set objectives.
  • Participate in recruitment and foster a culture of performance management and employee empowerment.
  • Manage the budgeting process and ensure compliance with financial management standards.
  • Promote sound labour relations and maintain discipline within the Directorate.

What You’ll Need

  • An appropriate qualification at NQF level 7 recognized by SAQA.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience at a middle/senior managerial level.
  • Successful completion of the Certificate for entry into the SMS (Senior Management Service) prior to appointment.
  • Advanced knowledge of organization development, process optimization, and AI technology application.
  • Proven skills in data management, public finance, and human resources management.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices governing the South African public sector.
