What You’ll Do
- Oversee the implementation of standardised policies and procedures across provinces.
- Monitor and report on law enforcement activities, including inspections and arrests.
- Analyse data and provide strategic recommendations for improved service delivery.
- Liaise with various law enforcement agencies to ensure coordinated operations.
- Develop and manage the Operational Plan for the directorate.
- Ensure compliance with relevant immigration laws and departmental regulations.
- Represent the directorate in management forums and relevant stakeholder meetings.
- Foster partnerships with internal and external stakeholders for enhanced law enforcement practices.
What You’ll Need
- An undergraduate qualification in Security Management, Policing, Public Management, Public Administration, or International Relations (NQF level 7).
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience at middle or senior management level in a law enforcement or related environment.
- Proven experience in operational planning and joint operations.
- Knowledge of the Immigration Act, Public Service Regulatory Framework, and relevant legislation.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on strategy execution and stakeholder relations.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel and work extended hours.
- Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
