What You’ll Do
- Manage clinical nutrition for in-patients and out-patients in your designated area.
- Develop patient education materials to enhance understanding of nutrition-related topics.
- Update and refine clinical nutrition protocols to ensure best practices are followed.
- Participate in training sessions and mentorship programs for healthcare personnel and students.
- Handle general administrative tasks, including planning and reporting on nutritional programs.
What You’ll Need
- An appropriate qualification allowing registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Dietician.
- For Grade 1: No experience required for RSA qualified employees; one year of relevant experience post-registration for foreign qualified employees.
- For Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience post-registration for SA qualified employees; 11 years for foreign qualified employees.
- For Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years’ relevant experience post-registration for SA qualified employees; 21 years for foreign qualified employees.
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
- Strong knowledge of clinical dietetics and excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in computer literacy, facilitation, presentation, and project coordination.
