What You’ll Do

• Provide therapeutic nutrition treatment and counselling for patients with various health conditions.
• Promote breastfeeding and adhere to MBFI/IYCF protocols.
• Support micronutrient malnutrition control through outreach services and local clinics.
• Coordinate off-site dietetic services and collaborate with healthcare specialists.
• Lead nutrition education and health promotion campaigns.
• Assist in food service management and document patient care effectively.
• Complete administrative tasks related to patient care and services.
• Participate in professional development and training initiatives.
• Support the clinical manager in maintaining clinic operations smoothly.

What You’ll Need

• Appropriate qualification for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Dietician.
• Registration with the HPCSA as a Dietician is mandatory.
• Relevant experience varies by grade:
• Grade 1: No experience required for RSA qualified; 1-year experience for foreign qualified.
• Grade 2: Minimum of 10 years’ experience for RSA qualified; 11 years for foreign qualified.
• Grade 3: Minimum of 20 years’ experience for RSA qualified; 21 years for foreign qualified.
• Valid driver’s licence (Code B/EB) and willingness to drive to health facilities in the Garden Route District.
• Strong clinical knowledge in managing disease-specific nutrition support.
• Proficiency in therapeutic dietary interventions and effective communication skills.
• Organizational competence to manage clinical, outreach, and administrative tasks.
• Leadership abilities and commitment to continuous professional development.
