About the Role
The Department of Health is seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager Nursing (PN-A8) to join its team in Mbombela (Nelspruit). What You’ll Do
- Coordinate the implementation of mental health policies and frameworks.
- Develop provincial strategies to effectively combat substance abuse.
- Support the provision of forensic mental health services.
- Facilitate the establishment of community-based mental health services.
- Engage stakeholders to enhance communication and collaboration in mental health care.
- Monitor program performance and implement improvement strategies.
- Provide technical support to districts regarding mental health issues.
- Assist in training and capacity building for healthcare workers.
- Oversee the licensing of NGOs involved in mental health management.
- Compile and submit reports on program progress and developments.
What You’ll Need
- Senior Certificate / Grade 12 and an NQF Level 7 qualification in Health Sciences.
- A minimum of nine years of relevant experience in health services.
- At least four years of management level experience in mental health services coordination.
- Strong knowledge of mental health services and project management.
- Excellent communication, financial management, planning, and organizational skills.
- Basic computer literacy and a valid driver’s license.
