What You’ll Do

  • Manage the administration of commodity and spend analysis for optimal resource allocation.
  • Coordinate the development and evaluation of bid specifications and advertisements.
  • Oversee the management of existing transversal contracts and ensure compliance with legislative frameworks.
  • Facilitate stakeholder reporting and performance assessments within the directorate.
  • Compile procurement plans, cash flow projections, and monthly expenditure reports.
  • Supervise and develop team members, ensuring successful performance agreements are signed and submitted.
  • Coordinate market research and benchmarking exercises to inform contracting decisions.

What You’ll Need

  • NQF level 7 qualification in Supply Chain Management, Financial Management, or a related field recognized by SAQA.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a relevant field, including 3 years at a junior managerial or Assistant Director level focused on Transversal Contract Management.
  • A valid vehicle driver’s license (with exceptions for persons with disabilities).
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management processes and public service legislative frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and interpretative skills.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy and a commitment to client service excellence.
