What You’ll Do

  • Manage overall district HR services, including recruitment and employment processes.
  • Provide specialized HR support and advisory services to staff and management.
  • Oversee the maintenance of PERSAL registry services and the personnel subsystem.
  • Coordinate and manage HR projects, ensuring effective execution and alignment with departmental goals.
  • Implement and monitor HIV/AIDS prevention and care programs as well as employee assistance initiatives.
  • Develop and facilitate new policies and procedures related to HR matters.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify areas for improved HR services.
  • Maintain staff discipline and administer HR performance management processes.

What You’ll Need

  • An undergraduate qualification (NQF 7/6) in Human Resource Management, Public Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in an HR environment.
  • Knowledge of HR concepts, principles, policies, and the PERSAL System.
  • Understanding of legislation governing HR administration and employee wellness.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to network effectively.
  • Proven management skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Access.
  • A valid driver’s license.
