What You’ll Do

  • Develop and review comprehensive trade development and promotion strategies.
  • Facilitate the implementation of various trade programs to drive economic growth.
  • Conduct thorough research to identify new and existing markets for provincial products.
  • Identify and profile new investment opportunities to attract business into the region.
  • Manage the operations of InvestSA Limpopo One Stop Shop to ensure efficiency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to leverage strategic partnerships for market access.
  • Ensure optimal participation and representation at trade promotion events.
  • Liaise with various stakeholders on policy matters related to trade and investment.
  • Oversee the management of customized incentive packages for businesses.
  • Enhance the uptake of national trade incentives by provincial enterprises.
  • Manage financial, human, and physical resources in compliance with relevant regulations.

What You’ll Need

  • An NQF 6 qualification in Economics, Business Management, Development Economics, Marketing, Business Studies, or Entrepreneurship (or equivalent).
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in trade development and investment promotion, with at least three years at a supervisory level.
  • A valid driver’s license (with exceptions for persons with disabilities).
  • Strong knowledge of the legislative framework governing public service.
  • In-depth understanding of macro and microeconomic policies relevant to trade.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills, with experience in investment appraisal and risk management.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and people management skills.
  • Proficiency in report writing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and solve problems effectively.
