What You’ll Do

  • Manage the acquisition of strategically located land aligned with national priorities.
  • Identify and assess land suitable for acquisition by the State in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive project register of land acquisitions.
  • Facilitate mapping and overlaying of identified land with key commodities.
  • Coordinate assessments and valuations of identified properties.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental policies during land allocation processes.
  • Monitor project updates in line with Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) requirements.
  • Facilitate the selection and training of beneficiaries for land allocation.
  • Maintain and manage a credible land application database.
  • Provide management information reports to relevant approval structures.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma in Agricultural Studies, Agricultural Economics, Development Studies, Town and Regional Planning, Public Administration, Social Sciences, Public Management, Real Estate, Property Management, or a related qualification (NQF Level 6).
  • A minimum of 3 years relevant experience at a junior management level.
  • A valid driver’s license is essential.
  • Knowledge of Land Reform Acts and government priorities related to agrarian transformation.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in strategic management, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent computer literacy and stakeholder relations skills.
  • Ability to manage projects and provide support on land acquisition processes.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
