What You’ll Do

  • Manage the supply chain management (SCM) risk assessment processes to mitigate fraud and abuse.
  • Implement and review relevant SCM policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Conduct performance assessments of the SCM functions and ensure adherence to regulations.
  • Serve as the primary contact between the SCM Unit and Bid Committees.
  • Oversee staff performance in line with the Performance Management System.
  • Generate and submit monthly performance reports to senior management.
  • Provide advisory support to all NPA business units on SCM matters.
  • Manage supplier performance and ensure compliance with SCM systems, including transversal systems.
  • Develop and oversee the operational plan for the sub-directorate.

What You’ll Need

  • Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) or Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) in management, social sciences, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in supply chain management, with at least two (2) years in a management role.
  • Strong understanding of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA), and SCM regulations.
  • Proven ability to act independently and maintain professionalism under pressure.
  • Excellent communication, administrative, and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with BAS and LOGIS systems is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to provide leadership and direction to a team.
