What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement revenue enhancement strategies to maximize financial resources.
  • Assess and recommend on revenue proposals from various provincial departments.
  • Coordinate and monitor the medium-term revenue planning process.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the Medium Term Budget Policy Statement (MTBPS) and budget processes.
  • Promote transparent and effective revenue management practices.
  • Develop tools and techniques for optimizing revenue collection for the province.
  • Organize and report on revenue performance and trends through revenue forums.
  • Conduct site visits to revenue-collecting institutions to assess operations and compliance.

What You’ll Need

  • An Honours Degree or higher qualification in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or Public Policy.
  • A minimum of 3 years of junior management experience in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • A valid driving license (Code B or higher); applicants with disability-related driving restrictions are also encouraged to apply.
  • Strong understanding of macroeconomic principles and public finance systems in South Africa.
  • Knowledge of local government legislation, financial management practices, and revenue collection processes.
