About the Role
The Commission for Employment Equity (CEE) is seeking a Deputy Director: Policy Development to join its dedicated team at the Head Office in Pretoria. This pivotal role focuses on the management and coordination of logistical and administrative support, ensuring that the Commission can effectively execute its mandate. In this role, you will be responsible for managing technical support related to employment equity policy matters, as well as overseeing the Commission’s budget. Your leadership will ensure that the Policy Unit performs effectively, contributing to the strategic objectives of the Employment Equity Directorate. What You’ll Do
- Manage and coordinate logistical and administrative support for the CEE
- Oversee technical support related to employment equity policy matters
- Ensure the Commission’s budget aligns with work plans and expenditure
- Lead the performance management of staff within the Policy Unit
- Facilitate effective execution of the CEE’s strategic objectives
What You’ll Need
- A National Diploma (NQF6) or Undergraduate Bachelor Degree (NQF7) in Labour Relations, Human Resource Management, Law, Public Administration, or Public Management
- At least two years of management experience
- A minimum of three years in Labour Relations or Employment Equity services
- Knowledge of the Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Employment Equity Act, and Public Finance Management Act
- Strong communication, analytical, innovative, and interpersonal skills
