The Department of Defence is seeking a dedicated and skilled individual for the role of Deputy Director: Permit Processing, located at the Armscor Building in Erasmuskloof, Pretoria. What You’ll Do
- Oversee the processing of permit applications related to conventional arms.
- Administer company registrations and End-User Certificates for compliance.
- Manage the IT system functionality to streamline permit processing.
- Supervise the management of resources within the sub-directorate.
- Ensure adherence to legislative prescripts in permit administration.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum of Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent qualification.
- A recognised Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Law, Public Management, Public Administration, or a relevant field at NQF Level 7.
- At least three years of relevant experience as an Assistant Director in Arms Control or Administration.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, alongside leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of government policies, operational management, and public finance legislation.
