What You’ll Do
- Manage and support all administrative functions related to liquor licensing.
- Coordinate with Local Liquor Authorities and the Liquor Board on licensing matters.
- Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of the provincial liquor outlet database.
- Ensure compliance through quality assurance of liquor license applications.
- Facilitate initiatives promoting responsible drinking across the region.
- Handle disputes and legal processes related to liquor license applications.
- Implement and administer policies and operational plans for liquor affairs and business registration.
- Manage resources effectively in accordance with relevant directives and legislation.
What You’ll Need
- An NQF 6 qualification in Commerce, Business Management, Economics, Public Administration, Commercial Law, Law, or an equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA.
- Five years of experience in the Business Environment field, with a minimum of three years at a supervisory level.
- A valid driver’s license (with exceptions for individuals with disabilities).
- Knowledge of relevant legislation regarding liquor affairs and business registration.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in computer literacy, report writing, and managerial skills.
- Effective planning and organizing skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
