What You’ll Do
- Oversee the management of HR services for the district, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Provide specialized HR support, including research and advisory services to enhance employee welfare.
- Manage and implement career development initiatives, housing assistance, leave management, and pension benefits.
- Coordinate all HR-related projects and ensure the effective interpretation of existing and newly developed policies.
- Develop and propose improvements for HR services, identifying needs and formulating relevant programs.
- Maintain employee discipline and manage performance within the HR framework.
- Supervise and mentor HR staff, promoting a collaborative team environment.
What You’ll Need
- An undergraduate qualification (NQF 7/6) in Human Resource Management, Public Management, or a related field recognized by SAQA.
- A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in an HR environment, showcasing your expertise.
- In-depth knowledge of the PERSAL system and HR legislation governing administrative practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong presentation and report writing abilities.
- Proven management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively at all organizational levels.
- Strong interpersonal skills, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with an emphasis on Access.
- A valid driver’s license to facilitate work-related travel.
