What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate and provide technical input for international health programs.
  • Develop and monitor the implementation of the Human Resource for Health (HRH) strategy at all health system levels.
  • Identify and analyze sector skill requirements to meet strategic objectives.
  • Facilitate health workforce planning across provinces to support the National HRH Strategy.
  • Manage projects to ensure HRH readiness for emergency preparedness.
  • Oversee meetings, workshops, and presentations to engage stakeholders.
  • Prepare reports and briefing documents as required by the sub-directorate.
  • Manage financial and human resources allocated to the sub-directorate.

What You’ll Need

  • Grade 12 certificate and an NQF Level 7 qualification in Health or Social Sciences.
  • A postgraduate qualification (NQF Level 8) will be advantageous.
  • At least three years of experience in a strategy and planning environment.
  • Experience working with international organizations or partners in health program implementation.
  • Understanding of Public Service Legislation and the South African Health System.
  • Strong research management skills, including project and funding proposal writing.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
