What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement prescripts related to leave of absence, incapacity leave, and ill-health retirement.
- Provide implementation support to national and provincial departments to ensure compliance with prescripts.
- Conduct research to guide policy development and inform best practices.
- Monitor and evaluate the implementation of leave policies in the public service.
- Offer technical support and capacity building sessions for relevant stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of service delivery models, standards, and improvement plans.
- Prepare reports and documentation related to policy implementation and compliance.
What You’ll Need
- A Senior Certificate and a minimum qualification at NQF Level 7 in Public Administration, Public Management, Human Resource Management, Labour Relations, Economics, Law, or related fields.
- At least 3 years of experience at the first management level or Assistant Director level, with a minimum of 5 years in a relevant Conditions of Service environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the South African Constitution and relevant employment legislation.
- Strong skills in policy development, research, data management, and analysis.
- Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in stakeholder management, strategic thinking, and project management.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and foster positive relationships.
