About the Role
The Department of National Treasury is seeking a dedicated individual for the position of Deputy Director: Financial Management Capacity Building, based at the Head Office in Polokwane. What You’ll Do
- Conduct and manage training on BAS and LOGIS within the Limpopo Province.
- Ensure quality assurance during regional training sessions.
- Compile and submit comprehensive course reports to the Director: Financial Management Capacity Building.
- Analyze and evaluate feedback from training participants to enhance future sessions.
- Develop and distribute provincial training schedules in consultation with stakeholders.
- Monitor and oversee training centres and trainers, ensuring compliance with approved schedules.
- Supervise and provide guidance to Assistant Directors and trainers to achieve departmental targets.
- Maintain the training database and generate reports as required.
What You’ll Need
- NQF Level 7 qualification in Financial Management or Public Finance recognized by SAQA.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in financial management, with at least three years at a junior managerial level or Assistant Director level.
- Valid driver’s license (with exceptions for individuals with disabilities).
- Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Regulations, and Batho Pele Principles.
- Proficient in using computer software, especially MS Excel.
- Strong organizational, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
