What You’ll Do
- Oversee the provision of crop and animal production services to farmers.
- Coordinate and deliver extension services and develop strong linkages with various stakeholders.
- Facilitate capacity development services for farmers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Provide administrative support services to ensure efficient operations.
- Manage resources, including human and physical assets, in line with relevant regulations and directives.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 qualification and an undergraduate qualification in agriculture (NQF 7) or an equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the agricultural sector, with at least 3 years at an Assistant Director level.
- Valid driver’s license (unless you have a disability).
- Strong knowledge of the legislative framework governing public service and agricultural policies.
- Excellent leadership, management, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in communication, conflict management, and report writing.
- Ability to work under changing and challenging circumstances with a client-focused approach.
