What You’ll Do
- Develop, review, and implement the Departmental Monitoring and Evaluation Framework.
- Conduct research to formulate and refine M&E frameworks and guidelines.
- Align the Departmental M&E Framework with the Government-Wide M&E Framework.
- Facilitate consultations to identify projects and programs for evaluation.
- Provide secretariat support for departmental evaluation committees.
- Participate in National Evaluation Committees and government M&E forums.
- Conduct evaluations on programs and projects, ensuring adherence to M&E frameworks.
- Create proposals for evaluations, including methodologies and data collection tools.
- Conduct data quality assurance, analysis, and site visits for evaluations.
- Develop comprehensive evaluation reports with actionable recommendations.
- Assist in training staff on evaluation methodologies and data collection processes.
- Manage and mentor staff within the evaluation unit.
What You’ll Need
- A recognized NQF Level 7 qualification in Monitoring and Evaluation or a related field.
- A postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in Monitoring and Evaluation, with at least three years in a supervisory capacity.
- Knowledge of relevant Acts, the National Development Plan, and Government-Wide M&E Policy Framework.
- Skills in research, data analysis, and evaluation methodology development.
- Strong planning, project management, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent report writing, communication, and presentation abilities.
- A valid driver’s license (candidates with disabilities preventing driving will also be considered).
