What You’ll Do
- Provide and manage standard litigation support services to the department.
- Oversee functional and operational legal support and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Scrutinise and comment on national and provincial legislation affecting environmental policies.
- Manage performance, information management, and reporting within the sub-directorate.
- Lead the operation of the sub-directorate, ensuring effective teamwork and collaboration.
What You’ll Need
- An appropriate LLB qualification.
- A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in a relevant field.
- At least 3 years of management-level experience.
- A valid Code B or higher driving license (candidates with disabilities that restrict driving but have reasonable access to transport are encouraged to apply).
- Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, constitutional law, and human resource management.
- Proficiency in MS Office and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to interpret legislation and work independently or as part of a team, with a customer-focused approach.
