What You’ll Do

  • Evaluate applications in accordance with relevant environmental legislation.
  • Apply methodologies and techniques for assessing environmental impact assessments and management plans.
  • Conduct environmental monitoring, auditing, and provide leadership on assigned projects.
  • Supervise and maintain productivity standards regarding the provision of comments on non-applications.
  • Prepare and review reports, ensuring clarity and compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to promote integrated environmental management practices.

What You’ll Need

  • A four-year degree or equivalent qualification in environmental management, natural sciences, or a related field.
  • Registration as a candidate environmental assessment practitioner (EAP) or eligibility for registration with EAPASA.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience in environmental management.
  • Valid (Code B) driving licence.
  • Strong knowledge of integrated environmental management processes and applicable legislation.
  • Excellent communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.
