What You’ll Do

  • Supervise the implementation of vaccination programs for controlled diseases as per the Animal Disease Act.
  • Oversee the activities involved in Primary Animal Health Care.
  • Manage the organisation and execution of community clinics to provide essential veterinary services.
  • Lead the National and Provincial survey of prescribed diseases within the North West province.
  • Coordinate the implementation of Brucellosis and Tuberculosis eradication schemes.
  • Participate in the movement of buffaloes within and out of the North West Province.
  • Report to the line function manager and implement the Performance Management Development System for your team.

What You’ll Need

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Health or a National Diploma in a related field.
  • Registration with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC).
  • A minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in the field.
  • Supervisory experience is considered an advantage.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • A good understanding of the Animal Disease Act 35 of 1984.
  • A certificate for TB and CA courses.
  • A valid driver’s license is essential.
